The Athena is a Beginner's quick building rocket kit that requires no previous building experience and no paint. The Extreme is an Intermediate rocket kit that requires moderate assembly which includes gluing and painting.
Estes model rocketry is recommended for ages 10 and up with adult supervision for those under 12. All models require some assembly. Tools and construction/finishing supplies are not included.
